Welcome to ThisBlueEarth.co.uk

ThisBlueEarth is my own wee corner of the web dedicated to two of my favourite things in life; mountains and photography. Whether walking through them, sliding down them or photographing them; I am never happier than when in the mountains.

Luckily I live in a country with some of the most accessible mountain areas in the world. Just a short hike from the car can see me in a landscape that feels as remote as the moon is from Earth. Scotland may not have the highest mountains around, but what it lacks in height it makes up for in diversity. There are some amazing geological events visible in Scotland, from a steep sided glacier cut Glen like Glen Coe to fascinating rock structures such as the Old Man of Storr on the Isle of Skye, there is a lot for me to be a part of in Scotland's mountains.

I hope you enjoy viewing my photographs and please feel free to pop back any time. I will update the galleries as I create new images, and I also have a back catalogue to add in as time goes by.

All the best,

Steven Donaldson
